​Tonight we left for Chicken Adobo which is one of the most famous foods in the Filipino! Whether you're an expert cook or just trying your culinary skills, this dish is the most comfortable to make and tastes the best.

What is Chicken Adobo?
Adobo is not merely a food item; it belongs to cultural heritage! It is the term derived from the Spaniard's marinade, which now means the well-flavored chicken in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices. This recipe reflects the diverse ways of Asians and is oftentimes even the top choice of locals of the Filipino in dinners.
Easy Chicken Adobo Recipe
- 1 kg chicken (thighs or drumsticks)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Direction
  1. Combine chicken, soy sauce, garlic, and black pepper in a bowl. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a pot, heat the oil. Add the sautéed onion until soft, then include and brown the marinated chicken. Cook until golden brown.
  3. Mix in the marinate, vinegar, bay leaves, and water. Wait until it starts boiling, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes or until the meat is dry and tender.
  4. Enjoy your Chocolate Adobo along with boiled rice!
